System Engineer – TETRA Communications

About the role

Airbus Secure Land Communications Hong Kong is seeking a System Engineer to support its Public Safety and Security portfolio. You will work on the installation, commissioning and maintenance of TETRA‑based communication systems for customers across the APAC region.

Key responsibilities

• Install, commission and maintain TETRA systems, associated application software and management tools.
• Manage third‑party suppliers for system integration of sub‑systems and applications.
• Liaise with product lines and vendors to resolve technical issues.
• Ensure high availability of systems and infrastructure through proactive monitoring.
• Test application performance, identify bottlenecks and collaborate with developers on fixes.
• Maintain security, backup and redundancy strategies.
• Participate in the design of information and operational systems for tender proposals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher diploma in Telecommunications, Electronics, Electrical Engineering or a related field (extensive experience may substitute).
• Minimum 8 years of experience in installing, commissioning and troubleshooting telecommunications systems.
• Strong IT literacy, including virtualization concepts.
• Fluent in English and Chinese.
• Willingness to travel within the APAC region.
