Training and Development Assistant Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Training and Development Assistant Manager to design and deliver high‑impact technical training in automation, robotics and smart manufacturing. The role will support operational excellence by turning complex technical knowledge into practical learning solutions for our workforce in Jiangmen, Guangdong.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver training programs on automation, robotics, smart manufacturing and related digital tools.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, quality and HR teams to identify skill gaps and create targeted learning solutions.
• Keep training content up‑to‑date with emerging technologies such as AI/ML, IoT, data analytics, predictive maintenance and digital manufacturing.
• Provide hands‑on coaching and technical mentorship to internal trainers and employees.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and continuously improve content, delivery methods and business impact.
• Support implementation of ISO 9001, IATF 16949 and associated quality management tools.
• Develop and maintain training materials, including manuals, work instructions, presentations, assessments and e‑learning modules.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Automation, Manufacturing, Mechatronics or a related field.
• 5‑8 years of experience in automation, smart manufacturing, industrial or manufacturing engineering, or technical training.
• Strong knowledge of automation, robotics, AI/ML, IoT, data analytics and digital manufacturing applications.
• Experience in instructional design, adult learning principles and delivery of technical training, including e‑learning platforms.
• Good understanding of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, APQP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, PPAP, Lean, Six Sigma, MES, DFM and CpK is preferred.
• Excellent communication, facilitation and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Fluent in Mandarin with strong written and spoken English.
