Clerk of Works – Construction Inspection Specialist

About the role

The Company seeks an experienced Clerk of Works to oversee quality and compliance on a range of building and civil engineering projects in Hong Kong. The role involves comprehensive site inspections, material verification and coordination of handover processes.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out full inspection of architectural, structural, finishing, curtain wall, drainage, roofing, external and landscape works.
• Perform material acceptance control, checking delivered materials and samples against approved submissions.
• Maintain complete and up‑to‑date site records, including site diaries, inspection records and progress photographs.
• Coordinate and attend handover inspections and defect inspections with relevant parties.

Required profile

• Diploma or Higher Certificate in Building / Building Studies from a recognised Hong Kong institution, or equivalent.
• Level 2 / Grade E or above in Chinese and English language examinations (HKCEE or equivalent).
• Minimum 10 years total site experience, including at least 6 years post‑qualification experience as a Clerk of Works.
• Completed mandatory safety training courses: Occupational Safety and Health Management, Basic Accident Prevention, Construction Industry Safety Card (Green Card), and Confined Spaces certification.
