Financial Analyst – Portfolio Valuation (Hong Kong)

About the role

Houligan Lokey is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to join its Portfolio Valuation & Advisory Services practice in Hong Kong. You will become an integral member of engagement teams, working on a variety of valuation projects for illiquid debt and equity securities held by hedge funds, private equity and private credit funds.

Key responsibilities

• Support FVA portfolio valuation teams in fair‑value reporting for fund assets.
• Perform financial statement analysis and quantitative assessments of securities.
• Research and analyse financial‑market data, industry trends, acquisitions and divestitures.
• Develop complex financial models to value publicly traded and privately held securities.
• Draft client deliverables, present analyses and conclusions, and interact with clients on active engagements.
• Participate in the firm’s marketing and business development initiatives.

Required profile

• Prior experience as a Financial Analyst within valuation, investment banking or related advisory services.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client interaction and report preparation.
