About the role

The Head of Non-Financial Risk, International & Coverage leads non‑financial risk across ANZ Institutional’s international business in 19 markets. Operating at Managing Director/Executive Director level, the role provides strategic risk counsel, drives governance and embeds a proactive risk culture.

Key responsibilities

• Act as senior trusted advisor to Institutional business on non‑financial risk matters across 19 countries.
• Provide constructive challenge, insight and oversight on risk profile, key themes, control effectiveness and risk in change.
• Lead the non‑financial risk governance framework, including forums, reporting, escalation and decision‑making processes.
• Ensure material risks are identified, assessed, managed, monitored and reported within appetite with clear ownership.
• Partner with Regulatory Compliance to engage proactively with regulators and maintain a regulator‑ready environment.
• Manage the regulatory change agenda, translating emerging requirements into effective controls and processes.

Required profile

• Experience at Managing Director or Executive Director level within a banking or financial institution.
• Proven track record of leading non‑financial risk, risk governance and regulatory engagement across multiple jurisdictions.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with business leadership, 2LOD and control partners.
• Ability to anticipate emerging risk themes and drive timely enhancements to risk frameworks.
