Research Analyst – US Equities

About the role

G-20 Group is seeking an experienced Research Analyst to produce high‑conviction, actionable investment research on US equities, focusing on Energy, the “Magnificent 7” technology names, and Semiconductors. You will work closely with portfolio managers and traders to turn deep fundamental insights into differentiated trade ideas.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct in‑depth fundamental research and build detailed earnings models, valuation frameworks, and scenario analyses for covered sectors.
• Monitor sector‑specific catalysts such as earnings releases, capex cycles, regulatory developments, and macro‑geopolitical events, and assess their impact on the portfolio.
• Generate timely investment theses and actionable trade ideas, clearly articulating risk/reward and key catalysts.
• Maintain relationships with company management, sell‑side analysts, and industry contacts to enhance information edge.
• Collaborate with portfolio managers and traders on position sizing, risk management, and entry/exit strategies.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering or related field from a top‑tier university; CFA or equivalent is a plus.
• 5+ years of equity research experience covering Energy, large‑cap Technology and/or Semiconductors.
• Strong financial modeling, valuation and analytical skills with a track record of generating high‑conviction ideas.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to distill complex analysis into clear actionable views.
• Self‑motivated, proactive and comfortable working autonomously in a fast‑paced trading environment.
