Senior Vice President, Structured Trade – Global Transaction Banking (APAC)

About the role

Join Santander's Structured Trade team in Hong Kong as a Senior Vice President, supporting the Team Head in delivering tailored financing solutions to blue‑chip clients across Asia Pacific. You will lead commercial activities, oversee deal structuring and execution, and coordinate marketing material preparation.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve quantitative and qualitative performance targets for origination, execution and client maintenance.
• Manage the full deal life‑cycle from marketing and pitch preparation to credit application, profitability measurement and legal documentation negotiation.
• Analyse client working‑capital needs, monitor facility utilisation and drive commercial pipelines.
• Collaborate with corporate sales, coverage, Global Structured Trade, Banking & Corporate Finance, Middle Office and Back Office teams to ensure smooth execution across regions.
• Participate in product framework development and support Global Transaction Banking department initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Minimum 10 years of experience with an international bank (at least 4 years in Structured Trade or Structured Commodity Finance) or a major law firm in Banking & Finance.
• Strong knowledge of banking and finance law, regulatory and compliance concepts.
• Agile mindset, team player, self‑starter with high motivation and ability to work under pressure.
• Fluent in spoken and written English and Mandarin Chinese; Spanish or Portuguese a plus.
