Experienced Software Developer (DV QES)

About the role

DV Equities, the Asia-Pacific equities and futures market-making business of DV Trading, is looking for a highly motivated, quick-learning Software Developer to join its desk. You will help build a low-latency trading platform competing in some of the world's most competitive markets, working across the full technology stack from exchange connectivity and execution engines to data pipelines and research tooling, with a primary focus on either C++ or Python depending on your background.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high-performance, low-latency trading systems and infrastructure using C++
• Build and optimise data pipelines, backtesting frameworks and research tools using Python
• Collaborate with senior traders, quantitative researchers and experienced developers to improve existing systems and find new opportunities
• Optimise system performance, throughput and reliability at microsecond and batch-processing levels
• Conduct code reviews, maintain coding standards and contribute to architectural decisions

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience in financial services, trading or a similar performance-critical environment
• Experience with Linux/Unix environments and networking fundamentals
• Detail-oriented, able to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment, with excellent communication and collaboration skills

Required skills

• Strong proficiency in either C++ or Python; working knowledge of the other is highly preferred
• Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, memory management and multi-threading
