Graduate Low Latency C++ Software Developer

About the role

Eclipse Trading, a proprietary derivatives trading firm founded in 2007 with offices in Hong Kong, Sydney, Shanghai and Chicago, is looking for a graduate to join its Low Latency team. The team builds the market links and algorithmic trading software, and the successful candidate will take part in an 8-week training programme and learn under the guidance of an experienced mentor. Work will be used in actual production.

Key responsibilities

• Develop low latency software for electronic trading on Linux
• Take part in code testing and reviews
• Collaborate with Trading and Quant teams to gather system requirements when needed
• Provide Tier 3 application support

Required profile

• Final-year student or recent graduate with a degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline
• Experience with at least one server-side language (e.g. C++, C, C#, Java)
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, protocols and architecture
• Familiarity with or strong interest in Linux/Unix systems
• Passion for financial markets; prior financial industry experience is not required
• Excellent command of spoken and written English
