Quantitative Trader Graduate (Summer 2027)

About the role

DV Equities, the Asia-Pacific equities and futures market-making business of DV Trading, is recruiting a Quantitative Trader Graduate for Summer 2027. You will join the desk and take part in the execution and risk management of systematic trading strategies across global equity markets, learning the firm's proprietary methods and systems through hands-on work alongside senior traders and quantitative researchers.

Key responsibilities

• Learn proprietary methodologies and quantitative trading systems with senior traders
• Take part in executing and managing risk of systematic strategies, including trade execution and risk layoffs
• Build, maintain and improve quantitative trading models using historical market and orderbook data
• Analyse large datasets to find patterns, inefficiencies and new alpha opportunities
• Improve existing strategies and spot new ones through data-driven research
• Act as a link between the trading desk, internal teams and OTC relationships
• Monitor live trading performance and iterate on models from real-time market feedback

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Physics, Engineering or a related field, graduating by Summer 2027
• Strong foundation in mathematics, probability and statistics
• Genuine interest in financial markets, algorithmic trading and market microstructure
• Quick learner who can perform well in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and stay calm under pressure
• Excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills
• Prior internship in trading, quantitative research or data analysis is a plus

Required skills

• Strong Python proficiency
• SQL, statistical modelling or C++ experience highly preferred
