Senior Maintenance Officer – Residential Property

About the role

The Senior Maintenance Officer will lead the day‑to‑day maintenance and repair activities for residential properties managed by the corporation. This role involves planning, budgeting, supervising both in‑house staff and external contractors, and ensuring safety and compliance across all maintenance operations.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, monitor and supervise in‑house and outsourced maintenance and repair works.
• Develop a maintenance plan and prepare the annual maintenance budget.
• Track maintenance programmes, produce monthly reports on system breakdowns, job‑card evaluations and electricity consumption.
• Enforce safety standards for direct labour, term workers and contractors.
• Participate in meetings with residents, developers, contractors and the Owners’ Committee to address technical enquiries and issues.

Required profile

• Degree in Building Services, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with at least 3 years relevant experience, OR Higher Diploma/Certificate with at least 5 years experience, including 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Possession of a Grade B Certificate of Registration of Electrical Worker.
• Strong background in electrical systems, plumbing, drainage, builder’s works and other building services.
• Experience in property management and property take‑over is an advantage.
