Senior Project Manager – Global CAPEX & Program Management

About the role

The Project Management Office (PMO) at Johnson Electric, based in Science Park, Hong Kong, drives global CAPEX initiatives and special projects assigned by the C‑Suite. You will lead business‑case reviews, annual CAPEX budgeting, and cross‑border program delivery while providing data‑driven insights to senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Manage global CAPEX lifecycle: business case development, approval presentations, and annual budget control.
• Program‑manage high‑impact projects such as new site setups, product launches, and production line transfers across countries.
• Analyse financial data to identify performance gaps and collaborate with functional teams to create recovery action plans.
• Design and maintain Power BI dashboards and visual reports for executive updates.
• Leverage AI, large language models, and machine‑learning techniques to automate reporting and establish a single source of truth.
• Work closely with manufacturing teams on the shop floor to uncover cost‑saving opportunities and support the company’s cost‑leadership strategy.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering with 2‑3 years of technical manufacturing experience.
• Strong analytical mindset and pragmatic problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work across multiple time zones and travel within the region as needed.
• Willingness to work beyond regular office hours to meet business demands.

Required skills

• Power BI – data shaping, DAX modeling, and visualization.
• Advanced Excel for data analysis.
• Knowledge of AI and Machine Learning concepts (advantageous).
• Financial analysis capabilities.
