Associate Business Analyst (One‑year contract)

About the role

Appnovation Technologies is seeking an Associate Business Analyst on a one‑year contract to support strategic digital and business transformation initiatives for Partnership Distribution. The role will act as a bridge between business stakeholders, IT, compliance, finance, product management and external partners such as banks and brokerages, working onsite in Hong Kong.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate requirement‑gathering workshops, document user stories, business rules, process flows and functional specifications.
• Conduct as‑is and to‑be process analysis, assess impacts on workflows, data flows and regulatory requirements.
• Manage project deliverables, timelines, stakeholder communications and maintain project artefacts.
• Develop UAT and regression testing plans, coordinate testing activities and manage defect resolution.
• Support production deployment, user training, documentation and post‑implementation monitoring.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Insurance, Finance or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on Business Analyst experience in the insurance industry, preferably with life insurance, partnership distribution or digital channels.
• Proven experience in requirements gathering, solution design support, UAT management and stakeholder engagement.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Agile delivery methods (Scrum, Kanban) and experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Proficiency with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence and Azure DevOps.
