Business Analyst – One Year Contract

About the role

The Business Analyst will support strategic digital and business transformation initiatives for Partnership Distribution. Based in Hong Kong, the role works on‑site five days a week, acting as a liaison between business stakeholders, IT, operations, compliance, finance, product management and external partners such as banks and brokerages.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct workshops to gather and document requirements, user stories, business rules, process flows and functional specifications.
• Analyse current and future processes, assess impacts on workflows, systems, data flows and regulatory compliance, and identify risks and dependencies.
• Manage project deliverables, timelines and stakeholder communications, preparing documentation, status updates and action logs.
• Develop and coordinate UAT and regression testing plans, manage defect tracking and support business validation and sign‑off.
• Support production deployment, user training, communication, and post‑implementation monitoring.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on Business Analyst experience in the insurance industry, preferably life insurance and partnership distribution channels.
• Strong understanding of insurance core systems, digital platforms, CRM solutions, APIs and data integration concepts.
• Proven experience with Agile delivery methods (Scrum, Kanban) and ability to work in Agile, Waterfall or hybrid environments.

Required skills

• Agile tools: Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps (or similar).
• Business analysis techniques: requirement gathering, process modelling, gap analysis, backlog prioritisation.
• Testing expertise: UAT planning, regression testing, defect management.
